We used Adelphi last month for just the 2 of us. Darren did an excellent job.
Check with them for the rates for 7 and to see if they can accommodate you on the date you need them. It's a 2 hour trip.

All this at a more reasonable cost than the four of us would have paid for the RCCL bus.

"We just usedAdelphi this past Saturday from Harwich to a B&B near Gatwick. Our driver was Darren and he was 15 minutes early to pick us up at the pier. He was an excellent driver and we had no worries even in heavy traffic and rain. We can add our recommendation to others that have used them. We would not hesitate to use them again."

".........Based on an internet search, we hired a driver called Darren ( Adelphi Executive Hire) from the Essex area to pick us up at our hotel and take us to a B&B in Wix, near Bradfield, a town about 5 miles from Harwich. Both the driver and the B&B turned out to exceed our high expectations and we are happy to share info, since we have gained SO much helpful information from reading about the experiences of others on these boards!

Our driver was Darren ofAdelphi Executive Hire . Not only did he arrive early for both the LHR to Harwich and return trips, but he provided us with a safe, comfortable trip and enjoyable company along the way. All this at a considerably lower cost than the four of us would have paid for the RCCL bus."

"......After doing a vast research, we also ended up using Darren fromAdelphi Executive, who met us at the airport upon our arrival and was waiting for us on our return..........Our driver was such a gentleman and gave us a small tour on the way to the port and back. In my opinion for the most comfortable and efficient transfer, you need to hire a private car."

"I can also recommend Darren fromAdelphi Executive. He's a complete gentleman that met us, helped us with our bags and was very pleasant to deal with. I got his name of this board and booked with him at the last minute (on our way out to the airport we emailed him) not expecting him to be waiting for us and as soon as we arrived into Heathrow we called him and he waiting for us. On the way back to our hotel by Heathrow we agreed on a 7:30 AM pick up and my inlaws were off the ship by 7:05 and Darren was waiting for us."

Good morning, Darren

Nice to hear from you. Our cruise was spectacular. We were so lucky with the weather for MOST of the cruise. We had no rain & a little above average temperatures. That is till the last 3 days, when the rains came; & the temperatures fell. The further south we came, the cooler it got. Can't quite figure that one out.

Melita & Bill stayed over in Copenhagen for 3 nights after the cruise ended. I arrived back in the U.S. on Wed.; they were to get back last night. The trip was arduous; too many ports, not enough sea days to recover. But we bring home fabulous memories & thousands of photos.

We are all so grateful for the smooth & efficient transfer service you provided. To see your smiling face at the airport after a long, tiring flight was a blessing. Nothing for us to worry about. We could just sit back, relax, enjoy the ride & the chance to get to know you. Rest assured that I will happily recommend your service to anyone who asks on both the Cruise Critic & the TripAdvisor message boards. It was our pleasure to meet you; & I hope that our travels allow us to meet you again in the future.

Just wanted to drop you a note to thank you again for taking care of my parents. They emailed from the ship and said you were "great."

On the cruise ship computer forums passengers are always asking for recommendations for private car service from the airports to either Dover or Southampton. There seem to be a number of popular options that various past passengers have used , but I am trying to add your name and email to the lists for people to consider as well. A recent obviously satisfied customer named Lydia usually beats me to the punch, however, and always sings your praises.

People at work sometimes ask for car service recommendations in Europe as well, and I will be sure to suggest they contact you.

We just want to thank you for your excellent service. We booked another cruise for next year, this one sails from Southampton. We will let you know when we are arriving as soon as we book our flights. Your staff is excellent, we had three different drivers and all were great, our friends had the same one and literally fell in love with him. Our friends, the Solis family also used your service (got your email thru us) and were also really happy.

We were so pleased with our driver, Peter. He did an exceptional job

and we enjoyed very minute of our tour with him. He met us at our port in

Southampton and was exactly on time to greet us. We were soon underway as

he was kind enough to stop by our hotel so that we could check into our room

and drop off our luggage. He had planned a great tour of the highlights of

London and was able to drive by our daughter's summer school so that we

could see where she had lived. He was so willing to accommodate our wishes

and make the trip very enjoyable. We would not hesitate to highly recommend

In May 2008 we booked a transfer from Gatwick to Dover with Adelphi and highly recommend them. The driver was Darren Parsons. We were delayed at the airport due to lost luggage, and I wouldn't have blamed him had he decided we had backed out of the deal ... but even after everyone else on the flight had left, and close to an hour after we landed, there he was, holding a sign with our name! Worth the money, as after a long flight (Calgary - Manchester - Gatwick), we slept most of the way to Dover. Likely would have missed our train stop, had we taken the train!

We just go back from our Celebrity cruise and we used Adelphi Executive Hire for our transfer needs while in London. There were six of us and Adelphi (Phil) picked us up at Heathrow and took us to London. Four days later, Adelphi picked us up and drove us to Harwich so that we could catch our cruise. They were also waiting for us when we got back....and drove us back into London to catch the EuroStar to Paris. They were wonderful! It was so smooth and worry free. At both Heathrow and the cruise pier, the driver was waiting for us with a sign with my name on it.

Because there were six of us, the price for all of this was much cheaper than if we had used the ships transfers. It was also great not having to worry about our luggage....it all fit into the back of the van.

I would not hesitate to use Adelphi Executive Hire again. They were great!
